الماۤئدة — Al-Ma'idah Ayat 63
لَوْلَا يَنْهٰىهُمُ الرَّبّٰنِيُّوْنَ وَالْاَحْبَارُ عَنْ قَوْلِهِمُ الْاِثْمَ وَاَكْلِهِمُ السُّحْتَۗ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوْا يَصْنَعُوْنَ
Lau lā yanhāhumur-rabbāniyyūna wal-aḥbāru ‘an qaulihimul-iṡma wa aklihimus-suḥt(a), labi'sa mā kānū yaṣna‘ūn(a).
"Why do the rabbis and religious scholars not forbid them from saying what is sinful and devouring what is unlawful? How wretched is what they have been practicing."
